General Information And Academic Administration About TAU


I. Academic support system 

    Tarlac Agricultural University School Laboratory has 2 levels of Senior High School and Junior High School. Junior High School is divided into Agrihome and Science. From each category have their respective levels of seventh grade 7, eight 8, nine 9, and ten 10. For Junior High School science is in Jose Milla Hall building and for Junior High School Agrihome is at Intergrated Laboratory. The school has a Food Laboratory used by agrihome children undertaking food processing lessons. The school also has a lot of field facilities in accordance with their respective functions, such as batminton field, basketball court, volleyball court and much more. The location of this school into one area with the campus so that all existing facilities are also used in conjunction with other levels. TAU also has a swimming pool and a gym to do gym, archery, soccer, etc.

    For facilities that support the process of teaching and learning in class, each class is equipped with a large television that can be used to display Power point and play video. Because of the good television quality then all students can see the television clearly even if sitting behind. And some classes are also designed as multilevel so that students who sit in the back can see the blackboard in front. For the learning process is still using white chalk. And each kels also has a fan to support learning and students and teachers do not overheat while in the classroom.

   TAU also has a centralized canteen that is in agribusiness. So that all students who want to eat or buy school equipment and photocopy can go to agribusiness.
II. Teaching system Tarlac Agricultural University School Laboratory starts daily lesson at 7:30 pm Philippine time until 5 pm Philippine time, school is held every Monday until Friday. As for the flag ceremony held every Monday at the beginning of the month and all the citizens of the school must follow the ceremony.

   For the learning system, Tarlac Agricultural University School Laboratory uses a new system because since 2 years ago they opened a new level of senior high school. In the new learning system students are taught about easy material first and then gradually taught difficult material. The learning system is teteap using student center learning. All students are taught to be always active in the learning process.


II. Materials and other learning sources 
    Each level has its own laboratory that can be used for the learning process, there is a biology lab, physics, chemistry, there is a food laboratory, and more. In this school ad is also a natural environment that can be used as a source of learning bagio students directly. There are whiteboards and chalk and television in every classroom. There is a school library for a reading center or for a sioswa who wants to find his own information.

III. Measurement and evaluation system 
  
    The teachers do the assessment when the teaching and learning activity occurs. Some of them, such as the observation, behavior notes, interview with the children and portfolio that consists of student’s worksheet. The teacher does an assessment of each topic being taught over, before switching on a new topic the teacher will perform a quiz or activity to pick up student grades. For activities provided by the teacher depends on the topic being taught and has a separate percentage for the assessment. As for formative assessment done with scheduled.

IV. Curriculum 
    TAU Laboratory school uses a government-provided curriculum with little adjustment. TAU use K-12 curriculum. The curriculum is adjusted because there is a change in the learning system and the addition of a new level.
